In 1933, Adolf Hitler took power in Germany. He lead his country into a frenzy of annexations as his method of fixing post-World War I Germany. Germany only became stronger over the next few years as they continued to gain more land and eventually joined the Axis Powers which consisted of Germany, Italy, and Japan. They continued their dominant reign of growing power and eventually their campaign started to threaten the United States allies.
Franklin D. Roosevelt's actions leading up to World War II were done in order to keep America safe and out of danger. The decisions the United States president of the time made were done in America's best interest and he protected our country a great deal.
